Federica is from Udine, in the north-east of Italy. She pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Udine and subsequently a Master's Degree in Medical biotechnology at the University of Bologna. Federica, who has always been interested in the brain and believes it is the most amazing organ we have, has focused in brain-related fields since completing her Master's and completed two internships in England and in the Netherlands to gain experience in this field. Federica is working at Erasmus Medical Centre, The Netherlands, on the project "Integrative genomic analysis of drug resistance in GBM using advanced 2D and 3D models" under the supervision of Prof Sieger Leenstra. Science is not Federica's only interest and she also likes travelling, art and of course food!
