Francesca is from Aosta (Aosta Valley, Italy). In December 2016 she graduated in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Turin (Italy) and over the last three years, she worked in Prof Bardelli's laboratory of Clinical Molecular Oncology at Candiolo Cancer Institute (IRCCS). Here Francesca was involved in a project aimed at investigating mechanisms of resistance to HER2 targeted therapy in patients enrolled in the HERACLES clinical trial. Francesca is working at VIB, Belgium, on the project "Single-cell RNA-sequencing in the context of space and time to interrogate tumour microenvironment (TME) impact on therapy response" under the supervision of Prof Diether Lambrechts. In her spare time Francesca loves playing volleyball, food and travelling.
