GLIOTRAIN achieves an "excellent" EC project check and the first annual meeting takes place

On October 23rd and 24th 2018 the 1st GLIOTRAIN annual meeting, followed by the EC Project Check took place. The Project Check, devised to take place 12 - 14 months into the Programme, ensures appropriate project progress. Management, PIs, students, associated post-doctoral researchers and the GLIOTRAIN Project Officer (from the European Commission) attended the two-day meeting. Ms Kathy Oliver, Prof Martin van den Bent and Prof Monika Hegi, GLIOTRAIN external advisory board members, were also present for the annual meeting. All of the GLIOTRAIN students presented at the Project Check, discussing their background and their work on the programme so far including training experiences as well as their scientific progress. The Review went exceptionally well and the Consortium received excellent feedback from the Project Officer.
