Gonca is from Turkey and has a Bachelor's in Biology and a Master's in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. During her Master's, Gonca was funded by the scientific research council of Turkey, and she has 2 years' experience working in a start-up company that focuses on developing a new molecular drug design tool. She has always wanted to be a part of European Training Network and says that she feels lucky to be a part of GLIOTRAIN. Gonca is working at VIB, Belgium, on the project "Genomic biomarker-driven approach to better identify GBM patient responders to SOC therapy" under the supervision of Prof Diether Lambrechts. In her free time, she enjoys film festival movies, cooking, traveling and food tasting.
