Manasa is from Tumkur, Karnataka, India. She completed her Bachelor's in Engineering and her Master's in Biotechnology from the Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur. Subsequently Manasa worked as research fellow in the "Accelerator program for Discovery in Brain Disorders using Stem cells (ADBS)" in the Department of Psychiatry, National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore, India for almost 2 years. Proteomics, Genomics and Bioinformatics are her key strengths and neurobiology is her main interest. Manasa is working at GeneXplain GmbH on the project "Modelling therapeutic resistance in GBM using multi-omic computational models" under the supervision of Dr Alexander Kel. Manasa sites Swami Vivekananda, the indomitable spirit, and Marie Skłodowska Curie as her inspirations. She enjoys reading books (ancient scriptures, philosophical, biography and history), Music, Dance and teaching.
