Yahaya is from Nigeria and earned a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto. He subsequently completed his MSc in Molecular Biology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. He worked on the development of RNA-Seq analysis pipeline for bacterial transcriptomics at the SCK.CEN Mol, Belgium. Yahaya is working at the Luxembourg Institute of Health on the project "Interrogating intratumoural heterogeneity and disease resistance mechanisms by scRNA-Seq in intracranial human GBM PDX models" under the supervision of Prof Simone Niclou. Yahaya’s hobbies include travelling and playing soccer.
