At the meeting, the 3rd year of the programme (Sept 2019 – August 2020) was reviewed. Despite the effects of COVID-19 on the latter end of the year, this was nevertheless a productive and busy year for GLIOTRAIN and it was important for everyone to see how far the programme has come since Sept 2017. Highlights were regarding the number of scientific Deliverable documents submitted this year. Scientific Deliverables reflect the accomplishment of individual ESR projects within the project as a whole. Furthermore, many ESR secondments took place – these were also reviewed at the meeting. Whilst 2020 – 2021 secondments are unlikely to take place in person, many ESRs will be undertaking virtual secondments, and we look forward to seeing fruitful results. Finally, the dissemination and outreach activities of the consortium were reviewed. As always, GLIOTRAIN excelled here. Prior to the 2020 travel restrictions, many PIs attended and spoke at international and national conferences. Importantly, many ESRs also had this opportunity. This year also saw 5 additional peer-reviewed publications from the consortium (please click here to view these publications and access links).
We look forward to a successful final year of the GLIOTRAIN Programme!
