A conference organised by the GLIOTRAIN H2020-MSCA-ITN research network

GLIOTRAIN is an interdisciplinary and intersectoral glioblastoma (GBM)-focused Innovative Training Network (H2020-MSCA-ITN), coordinated by Prof Annette Byrne at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. The objective of the programme is to train fifteen new GBM researchers with a view to identifying novel therapeutic strategies for GBM, while simultaneously implementing state of the art next generation sequencing and ‘omics technologies to unravel disease resistance mechanisms. Our long-term aim is to progress applied research findings towards improved patient outcomes.
The GLIOTRAIN consortium is now pleased to announce that our Network Conference will take place online on 14th July 2021 from 14:30 – 17:45 CEST. This event replaces our scheduled Satellite meeting at EANO 2020, which was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. Nevertheless, we hope that the new online format will enable more people to join us for the event. This open and free to attend meeting organised by the consortium includes talks by world-leading glioma researchers.
Dr Lucy Stead (Leeds Institute of Medical Research at St James's University Hospital, UK) will present her talk entitled “Investigating treatment resistance in glioblastoma” and Dr Itay Tirosh (The Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel) will present on “Dissecting cellular heterogeneity in glioma”. The meeting also provides a forum for a number of GLIOTRAIN PhD students to present their research.
